Latino Health Forum: Resilience in the Latino Community

14th Annual Forum: Uniting Our Voice to Improve Latino Wellbeing

  • Introduction: The Latino Health Forum is an event dedicated to the exchange of innovative ideas, best practices and the advancement of health for the Latino community.

The forum is a valuable platform for individuals working in health care, social justice, public policy and for those working with underserved Latino populations. Participants will have the opportunity to meet and network with practitioners, researchers and community activists currently impacting the field of public health. Individuals will gain valuable resources and skills towards shaping health policy and creating greater health equity for Latino populations here in the Pacific Northwest region. The conference takes place at the Seattle Hilton Airport and Conference Center.

Dr. Breckwich Vásquez is the Vice President of Preventive Health Services, Education & Training at Sea Mar. She oversees multiple patient and community-directed programs including Health Education, Nutrition/Registered Dieticians, Women, Infants and Children, and Maternity Support Services. She and her team are also developing Sea Mar’s Learning, Professional Development & Training Program for employees. She is drawn by the possibilities of a statewide health care system to address the many health inequities our communities face. On her personal time, Dr. Breckwich Vásquez also serves as co-chair of the Washington State Coalition to Eliminate Farmworker Sexual Harassment that seeks policy and advocacy solutions to this entrenched problem.
