Post Date:12/20/2019 2:14 pm

Bellingham, Wash. – There’s something for everyone on your holiday list in Whatcom Community College’s Community & Continuing Education winter schedule. The winter schedule is packed with over 60 new classes and many long-standing favorites. From tantalizing food and wine classes and inspiring art classes to exciting travel courses and unforgettable road trips, the gift of lifelong learning is the gift that keeps on giving.

Food & Wine classes make delicious gifts through in-class sampling and recipes to take home. Give the gift of “Seasonal Seafood” or the indulgence of “Bacon and Chocolate.” These classes fill fast, so secure your loved one’s spot today.

Gift an experience for the creative type in your life with classes in art and photography. Perfect for beginners, “Experience Opaque Watercolors” is a fun introduction to painting, while “Take Great Photos with your iPhone” will help your special someone capture their everyday and celebratory events.

Planning on purchasing new technology as a gift? Then add the gift of understanding that technology with classes such as “Getting to Know Your Digital Camera” or “iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch” classes designed to help the user get the most of their gadgets.

Leave the trip planning to Community & Continuing Education by gifting a road trip. Upcoming trips include a day trip to Seattle Art Museum in March to view the “Georgia O’Keeffe: Abstract Variations” exhibit. “Pinot & Prose: A Taste of Willamette Valley” is a four-day/three-night wine tasting trip held in partnership with Village Books. This May excursion appeals to both wine and book lovers.

If your loved one dreams of traveling farther, gift a travel or language class. Travel workshops like “Traveling in Costa Rica” will prepare them for the essentials, while language classes such as “Japanese for Travelers” will ready them to speak with ease.
