Whatcom Community College announces upcoming accreditation site visit and invites the public to comment on qualifications for accreditation by NWCCU.
Whatcom Community College (WCC) is accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU) and announces the upcoming evaluation of institutional effectiveness year seven accreditation site visit.
WCC will host an evaluation team from the NWCCU from April 15-17, 2026. Accreditation by NWCCU represents the Commission’s judgment that an institution is satisfactorily achieving its mission and educational purpose and that it meets or exceeds the Commission’s standards of quality and effectiveness. WCC is currently accredited by NWCCU, with this status most recently reaffirmed in 2019.
WCC and NWCCU invite public comment concerning the College’s qualifications for accreditation. All comments must be submitted in writing, signed by the author(s), and received by Friday, April 3, 2026.
