Faith Gabrielle Silan, a student speaker at the 2025 APIDA Festival and an Intercultural Center Peer Navigator at Whatcom Community College, encourages the community to join the event. "It was a breath of fresh air to see the local APIDA community gather in a place that encouraged attendees to embrace and proudly display their identities and heritage with others. What made this event truly memorable was witnessing the diverse ways that the APIDA community represents themselves. Through storytelling, traditional performances, dance, and art, it created a feeling of being at home, a space where people could truly be themselves and feel accepted and supported. I hope future attendees will have the opportunity to experience this as well.”
