Stephanie’s belly dance journey began in 2008 with a local Parks and Recreation class, sparking a lasting dedication to the art form rooted in Classical Egyptian style. After moving to the Bellingham area at the end of 2019, she reconnected with the dance world post-pandemic, discovering a vibrant local community and expanding her repertoire through intensive workshops across a variety of styles. In 2012, she began teaching anthropology courses at colleges in the Las Vegas area, including mythology, comparative religions, forensics, and intro courses to cultural and biological anthropology. Through these courses, she learned to love introducing students to new subjects. In 2023, Stephanie co-founded the belly dance troupe KiZmet alongside Deb Shields and Jackie Sloan. Together, they perform at venues, festivals, and gatherings throughout the region.

She received a Master's in Anthropology from UNLV, where she specialized in forensics. After which, she spent time working for police departments as a crime scene analyst and forensic anthropologist. She belongs to the American Anthropological Association (AAA) and is the President-Elect of the Society for the Anthropology of Consciousness, a section of the AAA.

Stephanie loves photography and is a passionate crafter, crocheting belly dance dolls and custom hip scarves.
