The goal of the Whatcom Community College wellness program is to provide programs, resources, and activities for employees that will help promote a healthy and active lifestyle. Specific objectives of Whatcom's wellness committee include increasing employee participation in wellness programs and decreasing employee health claims.

Our goal is to promote wellness related information and events campus wide to foster better communication and staff participation.


Lunch hour fitness

Through Whatcom's Community & Continuing Education program, the College offers several discounted classes throughout the year promoting workplace wellness that faculty and staff can participate in on their lunch break. Courses include Pilates & movement, yoga, aerobics and more. Contact Community & Continuing Education at 360.383.3200 for specific class information and to register. 


Work-site flu shots

Check back soon for the next time will be on campus to administer flu immunizations. The company accepts Group Health and Uniform Medical Plan insurances. They will bill these insurances automatically if you complete the claim form and present your insurance card the day of. If you are not covered on benefits through Whatcom, you can still receive a flu shot for $25, payable by cash or check.

You do not need to sign up in advance for an appointment, but please be prepared to wait in the event that a big group arrives at the same time. Several nurses will be onsite to administer the flu shots.
