Career & salary outlook

The hospitality and tourism field includes many job titles and pay scales. In Whatcom county, hotel and resort desk clerks may start at $11.74 to $12.15 per hour, whereas lodging managers may start at $16.49 to $19.24 per hour. Meeting, convention and event planners may start at $14.56 to $17.67 per hour.
