Whatcom Community College has a variety of options for high school students to meet both high school and college degree requirements. Students can take advantage of these high caliber programs, that result in a faster, more affordable college experience.

Which dual credit program is right for you?

Choose one or all three!

	RUNNING START	CTE DUAL CREDIT	ADVANCED PLACEMENT
Course Rigor	Rigorous coursework to enhance your university application	Coursework leading to a two-year degree or certificate program in a vocational/technical career	Rigorous coursework to enhance your university application
Schedule	Schedule classes around sports, high school and work. Full-time students focus on 3 classes per quarter	Generally fit in your standard high school day	Generally fit in your standard high school day
Credits	College credit is awarded for successful completion of the class. Credits generally transfer to colleges throughout the country	College credit is awarded by earning a “B” or better in the course.
