Mission Statement

The mission of Transitional Learning is to provide innovative, high quality educational and career pathway opportunities in pre-college math and English education to meet students’ individual, academic, career, and lifelong learning goals.

Guiding Principles:

  • Transitional Learning students have the ability to meet high academic standards

  • Transitional Learning students represent a diverse population of learners

  • We are dedicated to:

    • supporting speakers of other languages in gaining English reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension skills

    • supporting students in obtaining high school credentials

    • supporting students in transitioning into college and careers

  • We recognize and respect the wealth of lived experience students hold

  • We are committed to focusing on student strengths, instead of defining them by their vulnerabilities

WCC stands in solidarity with our communities, with all who grieve over the violence, with all who live in constant fear of the brutality of racial discrimination and oppression. We must continue to combat injustice through education. As an institution of higher education, we have the responsibility to model inclusion and fight racism.
