The Intercultural Center, in partnership with the ASWCC, provides support to identity- and culture-based student groups on campus.
- Native and Indigenous Student Union (NISU)
Purpose: To create a safe space for Native and Indigenous students to connect and build community together, And to strengthen our connection to the Nation of the coast Salish peoples.
Meets bi-weekly (starting April 16): Thursdays, 3:00 - 4:00 p.m. in SYRE 216

- Asian Student Union (ASU)
Purpose: Celebrate and connect with Asian culture, identities, and backgrounds.
Meets weekly: Thursdays, 3:00 - 4:00 p.m. in SYRE 217

- Students of Color in STEM (SOCS)
Purpose: Create a community and space for Students of Color pursuing careers in STEM fields to discuss shared experiences and explore solutions for our unique challenges.
Meets weekly: Tuesdays, 4:30 - 5:30 p.m. in SYRE 217

- Black Student Union (BSU)
Purpose: Promote and uplift and celebrate all things Black/African American, by providing a brave space to students who identify with the African American experience.
Meets Weekly: Mondays, 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. in SYRE 211

- Pride Student Union
Purpose: To create a safe space and raise awareness for all gender identities.

Mission: We are here to empower Whatcom’s diverse Latine community while strengthening connection to our cultures. We strive to represent all aspects of identity recognizing intersectionality while diversifying ideas and campus contributions. Building a legacy that bolsters Latine representation and recognition.
