Associated Students of Whatcom Community College (ASWCC) Clubs are a great way for students to connect with fellow students and build a sense of community. Check out the ASWCC Club & Unions page for information. 

The Associated Students of Whatcom Community College (ASWCC) student government represents students in college decision making. You can get involved in ASWCC Government by learning about ASWCC Senate, ASWCC Executive Board, Student Life and Engagement Team, and ASWCC committees (see a list of the committees at the bottom of the webpage).

Thanks to the efforts of the ASWCC Civic Engagement Leadership Team, Whatcom Community College has been designated a Voter Friendly Campus for 2025-2026!

The Orca Food Pantry is located on the first floor of Syre Student Center! 

Summer Quarter Hours:

Monday - Thursday

10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

Established in 2016 by the Associated Students of Whatcom Community College (ASWCC), the Orca Food Pantry provides non-perishable food and hygiene products to combat student food insecurity at Whatcom. The Orca Food Pantry webpage is updated regularly with resources for community food distribution.

What is Orca Day?

Orca Day is the annual end of the academic year celebration, with all the ASWCC Clubs & Organizations hosting activities, food trucks, and more fun! The date for Orca Day 2027 has not been decided yet!

What are POD Parties?

The purpose of POD Parties (Planning Orca Day) is to include the ASWCC and gather feedback on the process to plan Orca Day. Students can also sign up to volunteer on the Food Committee, Marketing Committee, and Activities Committee.
